The action of the game takes place in the world beyond. The main protagonist of the game is called Valvatorez and is a vampire for several hundred years. Once upon a time, he was a relentless and brutal tyrant who terrorized his subjects. However, because of a woman, he decided to change his life and promised to control his thirst for blood. Because of this change of heart, Valvatorez fell almost to the bottom of the infernal hierarchy. The woman he promised to change died and went to Hades - the place where dead people go and are transformed into creatures called Princes. The Reformed Vampire learns of the new plan of the leaders of the Lower World that aims to exterminate all Prinnies. Valvatorez decides to rise again in the hierarchy of the Otherworld and end this cruel endeavor. During his adventure, he meets many original characters, such as, for example, the werewolf Fenrich, or a young woman named Fuuka, who died in unexplained and mysterious circumstances.
